Do you have to have something specific about the DAILY FORTNITE DUOS CUPS?

I've heard you have to have 2,000 arena points to participate in official tournaments, is that right? I have less than 2,000 points but I can't play tournaments! Can anyone help me?

For FNCS you have to be at least in the Champion Division, i.e. 6000 points. In all tournaments you have activated 2FA, otherwise you can't play. There's also the fight between Ghost and Shadow this season, which is why there's sometimes a Ghost and a Shadow Cup at the same time.
