Fortnite not ready?

We wanted to do our son a favor and downloaded fortnite to the ps4, but his avatar always says "not ready", probably because the team members are not ready yet.

however, he doesn't want to be in a team at all and we somehow can't get out of the team.

Can you help us?

You have to set it to "ready" at the bottom right, where you can also select the modes. If you are more than one person, everyone has to be on "ready" so that a round is searched

As far as I know, this is the top button of the 4 on the right.
