Can anyone tell me what Fortnite really translates into German?

Fortnite is a reference to "Fortnight", a term that describes a period of 14 days, the term comes from the Old English and should mean "14 nights".
If you now take the word apart, you get Fort and Night so "Fortress for the night" which refers to the original game mode "Save the world"…
Fortnite, since proper names are not translated into the correct German.
