I would like to put together a high-end PC.
What I mainly play for games:
CoD Warzone.
GTAV.
Fortnite.
Minecraft.
Jedi Fallen Order.
Microsoft Flight simulator 2020.
All lego games.
Battlefront 1/2.
Bus Simulator 2021.
Train simulator 2021.
Omsi 2.
Fall guys.
So that was a long list of games, I know xD
I want to keep the PC very cool so that the PC does not heat up.
I stream next to or record.
I like to edit pictures or videos.
I love programming.
I want to play the games in 4k and RTX on Ultra.
Here would be my configuration:
Asus Maximus VII Hero X570.
RTX 3080 gaming x trio
Ryzen 9 3950x
32gb corsair vengeance pro
1000 watt power supply
Is that an exaggeration? Or is that enough for the next few years?
Is it enough for a long time but you don't want to go down to a 1000 watt power supply to 650/750 watts?
That's enough, only that will be expensive, but it's still worth having a lot of fun when you have the PC 😀
Doesn't the 3080 draw a lot of electricity?
A 400 euro motherboard is completely excessive if you don't want to overclock to the last megahertz.
The Ryzen 9 3950X is also very strong, sure that an R7 3700X or R9 3900X is not enough for you?
1000W is way too much, 650W watts is enough. But take a clever one, e.g. Be Quiet Straight Power 11.
The mainboard is up to expensive and I think 16gb ram is also completely sufficient, but 32 also fits
My PC:
RTX 2060
AMD RYZEN 7 8-core 2700X
Asus B450M motherboard
and 16gb ram and that's enough in my opinion.
I would estimate about 250 watts but with 650 watts you can use an i7 of the 5gen and a Titan X (spent about the same) and the consumption is around 400 watts
The problem is I also use applications that bring the main memory to its knees, so 32GB is enough
