Hey dear gaming friends and PC experts, I have a question. I have had a gaming PC for a few months. The CPU is a Ryzen 5 2600 on the Wraith Prism cooler, GPU an Asus Rx 5700 Evo Oc, Ram a Gskill Aegis 16gb 3000mhz, then another kingston ssd and an hdd. Everything sits with 4 fans (connected by Y cable because I made a mistake with the Mwinboard) on the Asus Prime B450 -K. So far so good. It just struck me that something could not be right, by the way, I bought the PC from a German manufacturer (certified), so it is not "fake hardware". When I look at the benchmark test, especially with Nvidia cards, the PCs in the test are always so good. Let's take Fortnite, in performance mode I rarely scratch the 240 FPS and there are already or especially drops in the lobby (even if I'm 60 -120 in big cities). Not really bad. Only then do I see how someone with the 1650 (!) Packs partially white 300 FPS and that several times (quch e.g. 1660 Super) Rtx 2060 etc. Now I've done a Boost Pack with a few registers tweaks, which also helped a bit and put my RAM on the XMP or DOCP profile. Drivers are all up to date. Why is it that a 600-700 euro PC beats my approx 900 euro PC. Yes, in some games, AMD GPUs are better in some Nvidia, but it can't be that 1. It is so drastic and 2. With so many. Oh yes, the GPU was bought from 2019 (release) in 2020 and actually not bad. Unfortunately I can't add pictures as they are too big. If you can help me I can also send it to you via e.g. Discord.
Switch off power saving mode, OS on the ssd can help with games that load the map etc. Live, otherwise check that the cpu gets enough power (check whether both cpu connections are used on the mainboard) ram in dual channel
Have you already checked the temperatures? If hardware gets too hot, it automatically regulates its performance to prevent damage. Also, it would be good to know if the benchmarks you've seen have any components overclocked. That can make a huge difference too.
Which resolution do you use, which resolutions do the others use? Which graphic settings?
Sounds like NS's stupid answer to you, but maybe it's because of the game settings. It seems like you already know that, but it's the only thing I can think of.
Ram is in dual channel, power saving mode, good the games are on the Hdd but that's not that bad, and I have to take a look at the connections, thank you.
Undervolting due to heat can't be determined (especially due to the 4 fans), the GPUs were not ok in almost all benchmarks
Yes, but that is not the case, especially with the performance mode in the example Fortnite.
1080p, so do the others. I copied the exact settings, reilweiß still worse: /
And see that your pc is set to maximum performance
Should he, but where? In power saving mode?
Setting for mains operation and energy saving
Is on maximum performance. Maybe it will bring something.
