Fortnite, sprint problem?

When I started Fortnite on my high-end gaming pc today, my link shift button stopped working because normally I gave the assignment to w run slowly and shift quickly but sprinting is only possible on the longer press

This has been changed, i.e. You always sprint with W and hold down with Shift you go normally.

Well what does that tell us, whoever is downloading an update should check out what has changed. But that's how it is, we're all made more stupid, in the past you would have immediately looked at what has changed and did not immediately cut out a question as if you could not help yourself.
