First and foremost, your internet connection is the deciding factor. 300mbit should be enough for the router!

Router alone is not enough.

There's also tariff volume.

Utilization of the copper / glass fiber cable.

There's no use if the router "can do a lot", but the computer "only can do a little".

So there's more:

802.11 n

150 Mbit / s (at 2.4 GHz)
433 Mbit / s (at 5 GHz) 2.4 to 2.4835 GHz

802.11 ac

1300 Mbit / s 5 GHz

Possibly better solution: take a router that also supports 5 GHz. But it shouldn't be too far from your PS4.
