Is scamming punishable (Fortnite)?

My friend scored a random guy over Insta. They wanted to swap accounts and he deducted him by not giving him his account. Now we ask ourselves if this is punishable or if we have to reckon with an advertisement

Ultimately, cheating is a criminal offense, the other could try, but as mentioned before, there's no contract, nor has the data been stolen. The worst thing that could happen is a blocking of the accounts and a blockade of the IP address. Whether that really worth it, questionable. However, if something like that happens more often, the chance is higher that you have to be charged with an ad for fraud. In a one-time pass unfortunately not. And your friend deserves it.
