Has pubg mobile become fortnite?

In the beginning pubg put a lot of emphasis on realism and was very nice to play. I stopped playing a little longer and downloaded the new version today. Everything is colorful. Everywhere something to click. You can buy costumes. You can build. Lots of unrealistic things. Almost exactly like Fortnite. Is there a game like pubg mobile like 2 years ago, or is everything now like Fortnite? I don't play often, 1 or 2 rounds a day. But I have absolutely no desire for Fortnite

Fortnite had its hype but it's over… Where I played in season 1 it was still awesome but now it's really bad.
