You do not need any code to continue building the island. It saves automatically and you can continue playing on your island later.
I know but if I want to build something new I have to delete the old island I would like to keep the island with a code that I can build again and again [I've put a lot of work into it]
You just have to squeeze the portal (on console) square and then set island target and there are 5-10 new islands you can build on or you go to your island, then island setting and finally island reset and all on the island is reset (as well as at the beginning)
Your Creative Island will be saved during construction and after.
Codes are issued by Fortnite if they consider your island. So until now only creators have codes for their islands.
However, you can choose which island you want to go before the rift to your island. Since you have each at least 2 times you can go to the 2nd version of the island and build something new there.
