Fix still images fortnite?

Recently it has started that I have constantly still images in fortnite… Those are sometimes only for a second but sometimes much longer synonymous. My PC has an Intel Core i5 7400 and ne GTX 1060 with 16 GB of RAM (only 4 GB wasted) how can you fix it?

En

This is called lag. It can be stored on the best pc. It's often on the internet.

An

How can it be on the Internet if I have a permanent 20s ping?

En

I have a 10 ping and it is rare for me too.

mi

Your PC should make Fortnite easy liquid with 100 FPS on very high settings. Still pictures are absolutely incomprehensible.

Maybe there are heat problems? For this the temperatures of CPU and graphics card measure while playing.

Look in the Task Manager what is currently running processes, if you have such hangers. And: Do you have an SSD hard drive?

Or there are driver problems / viruses / etc. What blocks the whole PC in the background… Here I would completely reinstall Windows, which can eliminate all these problems safely.

An

Yes, I thought so synonymous, I mean the PC is only a year old and cheap was not synonymous. How do I measure the temperature of the CPU and what to do if it is overheated?

mi

You can take the MSI Afterburner, which should be able to display both temperatures.

If the CPU rises above 80 degrees, you need a new CPU cooler.

Is the case also warm or even hot from the outside? If so, just install 2 case fans.

An

So thank you now downloaded the MSI Afterburner, but I do not really know it with it in the displayed and although the GPU temperature is once left Min: 74 and Max: 75 and the temperature is 75 ° … What does that mean now?

mi

So GPU graphics card is at 75 degrees in the green area. (only from 90-100 it is the graphics card too hot)

Do not you see the CPU temperature? Then please try with CPU-Z… This is very tiny and even runs without installation.

An

I got it, but with CPU I still somehow still the temperature is not displayed… Only something with MHz, but I have nothing to do with the temperature?

mi

The right tool is Core Temp, I hope it finally works…))

An

Ok, thank you. I will be displayed 4 cores and each is the temperature at about 50 °, which I think is not too hot but rather good or?

mi

50 degrees are good for the CPU, yes.

You also measured under prolonged load, during the game, right?

An

Yes I have it but it lasts all the time and the still images are felt always worse to what else could it be?

mi

Alright, it's not heat, that's good to know.

Can you test another game (offline game)? (possibly in all games?)

And: Can you test another online game? (possibly problems of the Provider?)

An

No idea what I could test there… But either it just seems to me or in general everything on my PC starts to laugh Bzw it is sometimes slower. But fortnite is as good as unplayable now. Often it is so that I land and nothing is finished gerändert I lagg all the time somewhere around and can't move. Or the loading screen just takes a short time 4 min or so… I just do not understand why the PC is only 1 year old and was really not cheap, because it can't be that something happens. Do you think it brings something vllt times the game to uninstall and reinstall?

mi

Yes, you could try that.

As a free online game you could try "Quake Championships", which you can find on Steam as Free to Play.

Or "Starcraft 2" by Blizzard (Battlenet Launcher) - is also free to play online game

As you describe it now, the internet seems to be failing you. What results do you get at a speed test - "speedtest.net"?

An

On the Internet I think it is not, have 1. Constant 20s Ping in Fortnite and the speed test about 30mbps… I still have the assumption that something is wrong with the pc everything is slowing down sometimes synonymous is nothing at all… I understand it I just do not go into the settings and everything is delayed and takes too long

An

I'll just try it

with reinstall if it does not work then I have no idea what you could do?

An

What I just remembered, somehow it is always so (started about the same time with the laggs), that when my PC starts up always Blackscreen is just with the mouse pointer there. I have to pull the plugs twice so it starts up properly… Maybe it has something to do with it and maybe you know how to solve this problem?

mi

I think it's good that you call me so more details.

Sagmal, which power supply exactly do you have? (Manufacturer / watt / best also model number)

You may also run out of your hard drive, do you have an SSD or only an HDD?

An

My Netztteil is already really old on the back is made for: INTER-UNION

technohandel GmbH is still model: IU-401 and H05VV-F 3G1,0mm ^ 2 and there's still a maximum of 3600 W.

SSD and HDD I believe both. (C. And (D. Are the faith… (C. 43,7GB of 118 free and (D. 913 GB of 931 Gb free

mi

Ahh, I think your PSU is garbage and needs urgent replacement! ))

How about the (almost) best PSU that you can buy today? It also has 7 years warranty!

https://www.mindfactory.de/...21716.html

An

Wait, you mean with the power supply surely the sockets or because the thing you have linked there does not look like a socket xD What exactly do you mean with power supply?

mi

Ohh, I mean the PSU which is installed in the PC. So not the power connector. But in the PC is such a box where the power cables are all in the PC. This box, what kind of manufacturer is this, what model?

Shut down your PC, pull out the power plug, and open a housing wall. The power supply is either at the top or at the bottom.

I had already wondered that there's 3600 watts on it…))

An

Ehm how exactly do I open the case; ^)?

mi

As would have to be on the back of the case so 2 screws that clamp the side wall. If you look at the PC from the front, open the left housing wall.

Do not forget to pull out the power plug first.

An

Okay, so my PSU is from LITEON, I think so.

there's still 500W Max at 50 ° C

mi

All right, your effort was worthwhile, because now I can confirm that Liteon is a "cheap manufacturer" of the bad kind.

Due to your current problems, it is worth to try a good quality power supply. I had you linked to the Seasonic above.

It is not difficult to change the power supply, you only notice each plug where it was before. Then plug in the new power supply exactly the same way again. You can't go wrong, unless you forget a plug.

You can also take some photos before then to look at the installation again.

The power supply itself has 4 screws on the back of the housing, then you can easily take it out.

An

So thank you in advance for your many answers! A few more questions

Fits each power supply in each PC or are there certain sizes?

And you sure think that a better power supply (for example, what you have recommended to me) safely fixes these laggs?

And if I get something, will I have more FPS or will it stay the same?

An

And another thing.

is reduced by a better power supply synonymous accidentally spooling my graphics card? (Also, no idea why it is)

mi

Normally, every standard ATX power adapter fits into any standard PC. There are sometimes special cases where special power supplies must be clean.

As you can see, the power supply I've sent you is pretty much like a cube. Does the power supply in your PC also have this shape? If so, it is certainly ATX and then it fits.

Unfortunately, I can't give you a 100% guarantee that your PSU problems have been resolved. The error could also be on the motherboard, if this had a defect.

But based on my previous experience, I would most likely assess the power supply as the cause. It is logical for me that the "failing boots, the laggs" come from the power supply. I would say the chance is 90%.

If necessary, you have to send back the power supply, if it does not get better.

The coil winding of the graphics card but probably not better. What you can do against Spulenfiepen is to activate the function "VSYNC" in the graphics driver / game. This limits the FPS to 60, which reduces coil whining.

An

Okay thanks again for all the information and that works with the VSYNC also just wants to play with more than 60 FPS, so I'll just let it out and ignore the fiepen.

mi

All right, as long as your monitor but anyway only 60 Hz, you can actually turn VSync, because all the additional pictures will end up in the trash anyway…))

If your monitor has 144 Hz, and you turn on VSYNC, the limit is of course 144 FPS instead of 60.
