Stretched play, advantage or pointless?

I play with monitor on ps (Fortnite), and I've considered switching to stretched. Now my question: does it do anything, is it better to Aimen (as some claim) or it does not matter? In itself, it's good, because you have everything better in view, but is it really worth having a new screen format that you have to get used to?

Who has experience with it? Looking forward to answers.

Depends on it, if you play correctly 1080x1080 that can be a bit better (but in my opinion, Sch * ße aus). At 1600x1080 it looks good (mmn.) But does not bring any noticeable game advantage.
