I have a PS4 Pro. For example, I play Fortnite in the middle of game fps drops. Is that normal? Can this indicate a hardware defect? How to recognize a hardware defect? Do you recognize it by the fact that the console does not start anymore? Especially with a console, it should be quite clear if it is broken. Sudden going out, loud rattling, error messages, these are indications of a defect. Couple of framedrops are nothing unusual at all. Especially in Fortnite.

This can come from too much heat, but also many objects that need to be loaded at the moment.
My PS4 is already crashed 2 times in the beginning of March with a fault code, after I have taken it from the stream not once again. Now a few days ago I got an error code and was able to press ok and continue playing. Is that a sign of a defect?
Rather a software damage.
