To save space by updates?

I did not really know much about pcs in advance. I play fortnite and I'm shown a low memory space that can lead to problems. I had 250 mb in my ssd and 2 tb in my hdd. How can I save the memory of the next one? To move update to the hdd?

Need to reinstall the game and specify the path as the HDD. Incidentally, I would always specify the HDD when you install a game.
