Fortnite RDW help others with Sturmschild defense?

I have a question and if I play Fortnite Save the World and do a Sturmschild defense, privacy on public then I always join people, but how can I help other people and help them?

Go to the map and select "Unknown territory".

That's where you either get into normal missions or in SSV's.
