Which tablet should I buy?

These are my requirements:

One should be able to watch Netflix

play games

Compatible with fortnite

Android

Not too expensive

Purchase as a tablet only apple. My recommendation ipad air 4.

Absolute humbug. Many apps are simply programmed dumb and not adapted to the format and size of a tablet screen. Android itself has no problem with that.

Also wrong. Even if an app is upscaled because it doesn't have any HiRes assets, it doesn't degrade its performance enough to be called "awful"

Apple renamed iOS to iPadOS. The basis is the same. Only in the latter are more multitasking features activated because they don't make sense on smaller screens.

There are loads of well-performing Android tablets out there. If you want Android, you will find something useful with some Samsung and Huawei devices.
