Ps4 ingame sound?

Well, I recently got a PS4 and downloaded Fortnite directly because the game is just so cool. Then I plugged the headphones into the controller but that did not work. I thought I hear the ingame sound in my headphones right now but instead I could only hear him on the TV which is an extreme disadvantage? Does anyone know if this is due to any settings or what I can do

Just look in your PS4 settings under Devices and Sound to see if you've specified your headphones as output device. The same in your Fortnite settings under Sound. Generally just look in the settings for sound and output device, I do not know exactly where you find what.
