Of course you can start. Until the season change it was impossible for newbies, because you were always thrown into the game with good players - you would have been easy prey and you would have quickly lost the fun.
Since the season change, however, there has been so-called skill-based matchmaking - in this case, about the same good players always come together in a round, including bots.
So you also have to deal with players of equal strength and can acquire skills - you will certainly not lose the fun:-)
