For 2 weeks I have had the problem that I can't start Rust. When I try to start the game I get two error messages:

Do a virus scan. The best thing to do is to simply scan the folder so it doesn't take that long
Apparently this system file is damaged. EAC checks the system files to prevent manipulation. With this command (run in CMD or PowerShell as administrator) you can check the system and have the files replaced:
sfc / scannow
The answers regarding viruses are far-fetched, damaged system files also occur occasionally with Windows, there can be many reasons.
