How old is your PC and what graphics card do you have. Or that Fortnite wants to spare you.
How old I don't know exactly but I have a GeForce 310 with DirectX 12 on it.
Forget it. If you think this old thing can stop dreaming. GeForce 310 is definitely not compatible with DX12 and don't believe with DX11 and even if you get it working you have ~ 0.03 FPS
If Fortnite sucks that DX10 is needed, it is also not compatible with DX 10, installing and using it is something else

The graphics card is ten to eleven years old and supports DX10.1. However, it may also be that the graphics card is in principle not sufficient for Fortnite. The GeForce 310 is a graphics card for pure desktop use and not for gaming. Otherwise, DX10 has been on board since Windows Vista, DX11 since Windows 7 and DX12 since Windows 8/10.
