I know that Season 3 will start in Fortnite on June 17th today, but when exactly, i.e. Time?

I read in the game that there's an update at 8 a.m., does the season start from there or only at 3 p.m? Or at what time?

The maintenance break begins at 8 a.m. And will likely last for about 2-3 hours. That means you will be able to play again at around 10-11 a.m. From there the new season begins.
