Should not be more expensive than 550 euro
A console is more worthwhile for the money
You can also buy a PC for the money
Yes you can do it, but to play Fornite with at least 60FPS a console is more worth it or how do you see it?
Maybe the prices have increased a bit because of Corona. Either wait or buy the best for your budget.
So if you don't want to play a 4k now (PS4 Pro and expensive 4k TV / monitor) then a 500-600 euro PC is enough. You can easily achieve 60fps and do something other than gamble. A 550 euro PC is even sufficient for more demanding games in high or even ultra.
For Plug and Play, the PS4 is cool, but paying 60 euro for it to be able to play online (except for Fortnite, because they have lifted the rules) and having to buy more expensive games is a no-go for me.
You can also connect a controller to the PC. Sure, if you only have the 300 euro for a PS4 and want to play a few games with a couple of friends chilling on the couch, then it's already good.
Repair PS4s yourself as a hobby and therefore know the advantages and disadvantages. If you just want to gamble you can buy one, but in the long run you can get away even more expensive. (As I said, 60 euro / year just for playing online?)
In addition, the PS5 comes at the end of the year / beginning of next year. It is questionable whether you can then play your PS4 games on the PS5. You also have to buy the PS5 again.
The PS4 also has a few exclusive titles that are not on PC.
Back then I still had a PS3 that I still have. It was really cool anyway. PSPlus put me off with the PS4, which is why I never really upgraded.

I have a PC that is comparable to a 550 euro PC in 2020. I5 3570k, 16GB RAM and an Nvidia GTX 1060 6GB.
The Nvidia GTX 1060 is the opposite of the AMD RX580. The 1060 was launched in 2016 for 300 euro. Now it only costs half as much, but still offers 60fps FullHD on high / ultra in AAA titles.
Again a small Fortnite kiddy what a pc wants for 500 euro Buy a real pc if you can buy the new ps5 or the new Xbox which will have more FPS and performance
In the price range what is good to find is difficult, but if a laptop is also ok this would be good https://www.cyberport.de/notebook-und-tablet/notebooks/asus/pdp/1cah-09x/asus-vivobook-15-silber-15-full-hd-r7-3700u-8gb-512gb-ssd-dos-d509da-ej295.html I also use it also has a great graphics card and great processor. You should only consider whether you want to spend so much money on Fortnite
@kiritoonis what are you talking about? For 500 euro you get really good stuff in the desktop area. These PCs that I sent in all achieve over 60fps at FullHD on high / ultra in every game.
Have a similar PC myself (i5 3570k and GTX 1060 6G) and can confirm that.

The laptop is not bad, but it is clearly only suitable for casual gamers. Maybe you can still get 30-50fps with a low setting. If he doesn't want to gamble on the go, the money in a desktop PC is clearly better invested.
Real gaming laptops only start at 800 euro. And then maybe they are just as strong enough as a 500 euro desktop PC. Rather "cheap" 1000 euro gaming laptops are equally strong.
