Have I looked at various benchmark results, etc., and noticed that the 2700X is relatively similar to the 3600 (difference of about 5-10%). The 2700X is ahead in the multicore, the 5 3600 in the single core. Since Fortnite (eg.) Also supports multicore, I wanted to ask if it is worthwhile to take the 5 2700X, since it costs about 30-40 less and I like several programs simultaneously open. (Have 3 screens)
Definitely the 3600, just for gaming (especially if you still overclock it).
What does it mean for you to have several programs open at the same time? Spotify, Browser, Netflix / Sky Go, etc?
I usually tend to always tend to the newer generation. The differences are actually not huge. If you play more, I would reach for the 3600.
So for gaming, the Ryzen 5 3600 is clearly ahead, because the higher single-core performance provides more FPS than a higher multi-core performance.
But it depends on what you have everything open at the same time, should it be about DV editing or streaming I advise the 7 2700X because there the two additional cores are very convenient and can make a difference.
I hope I could help you vlt if so and you are interested in hardware and gaming you can visit vlt times on my channel. : https://www.youtube.com/...subscriber.
