Is a 144hz monitor worth it?

I have the hp pavilion 15 gaming laptop ec0305ng with a 60hz display. The laptop has an amd ryzen 5 3550h and a gtx 1050 (3gb), but you can also google this model. Is it possible to buy a 144 hz monitor and connect it to my laptop so that I can play at 144fps or would it not be worth it? I play games like Fortnite, Rocket League, minecraft, etc.

It is possible, but not worth it. Your hardware is too weak for that.

There's a noticeable difference. The panel does not have much influence on the effect in terms of the refresh rate.
