I'm currently assembling a PC which can only cost 800 euro (my mother does not allow more) and since I can only spend 300 euro on a graphics card, I decided on a gtx 970 is that still a good gpu? (For minecraft, pubg, fortnite, word of tanks)

Right now is the worst time to buy a graphics card.
In itself it is still worth it. But for 300euro you will certainly get a 1660super / 2060. They are both much stronger than the 970
