Someone told me that if I combine a rtx 3080 with a ryzen 7 3700x that I have such a heavy bottleneck that I can't even consistently manage 240 fps in fortnite. Is that true and is enough a rtx 3070 with the processor for continuous 240fps (everything on 1080p)
It depends on the settings, on 1080p (FullHD) your CPU may bottleneck the GPU, but on WQHD there shouldn't be a significant bottleneck.

Bottleneck is the slang verb form of the word bottleneck. Bottleneck means bottleneck means when your CPU bottlenecks the GPU, the CPU slows down the GPU. And when the GPU slows down the CPU, the GPU bottlenecks the CPU.
