I have a GTX 1050t, Intel Core i7, 8gb Ram and a 144hz monitor. I can do 144fps in Fortnite but in combat situations it can go down to 60-70 fps. Fortnite is mine, it all seems a bit delayed and in combat situations it's like 10 fps. At first I thought it might be because sometimes I can't get the 144fps (because of the 144hz monitor), but when I play Ark at 50-60 fps this is pretty fluid.
Does anyone have an idea why it lies?
In my case it used to be the own virus system which just thought to do the idle in the background with every game. Which is still the case what I do not think with you that a game just does not close and still runs in the background so I always have the task manager open.
Maybe you play around with the settings, for example V-synch. My buddy was also the problem that his PC was too good and thus the FPS must switch down more limited.
OK thanks. And is it normal now that 60 fps at 144hz not go? Because when I limited to 60 fps, it was like 20 fps
I can only say what was the case with me and it was very little to blame the monitor. Try watching TV over HDMI. Whoever is still there's more likely to be on the PC and not so much the monitor.
But I would also update the driver.
