Why are all applications on my PC crashing, even though there's no problem?

I've recently downloaded GTA V and have been dropping applications since that time, be it Chrome, Discord, GTA V, Fortnite, everything crashes. The strange thing is that everything in my PC works perfectly. Wanted to have him repaired but they could not find anything except a few minor viruses that they then removed. My graphics card (GeForce GTX 1050Ti) works, my processor (Intel Core i5) also and the rest of the hardware. Have GTA V already 3 or 4 times reinstalled but it still crashes. Even if GTA V is not running, my open applications crash. The games and other applications do not always crash but they crash more often than they do not crash. And if a game does not crash, I can play it with well over 60 FPS. At least until it crashes, which usually takes about 1-2 hours. Need really helpful answers, because if I do not help, I'll have to buy a new computer on Black Friday (29.11.19).

Apart from that, it often comes to strange, Spackungen? "(I do not know how to express it) on the desktop.

Example:

Everyone knows what happens when you move your mouse over the desktop while holding down the left mouse button. Every now and then, after a game crashes, my desktop becomes black everywhere I do that and I can't use anything that is under this black area anymore.

Often I can use only one half of my desktop or the icons I'm going to use with the mouse are highlighted in black or something like that.

I hope for helpful answers.
Thank you for taking the time to read my question.

Look in the Windows Event Viewer for errors.

This can really be a lot, either driver error, Windows error itself or even malware.

If updating drivers, checking hard drive for errors etc does not help, I would definitely reinstall Windows.

I also often advised Windows to reinstall, but I do not understand what that should do, after all, I have no viruses or hardware damage. And the drivers are also up to date.

As I said, it will be some software bug. Origin different. When reinstalling Windows, all files are deleted and Windows is reloaded. After that, everything is still virgin, so nothing can cause a mistake, except the hardware itself. Therefore, a new installation usually fixes all the problems.

Okay thank you very much. Never thought the option through because the "experts" always told me everything would work fine, even though it does not, and now that I think about it, it's clear 😅

Only a short question afterwards. If I do that, then I have to "reset" my subsequently installed SSD separately, which is automatically reset with or do I not reset at all? On it are GTA V, Fortnite and the rest of the games I have with a few personal data which I will then save on another hard drive.

Kn

If this is really only a hard drive as a data grave, so without an operating system, then I would simply stake out before reinstalling, then it comes to no errors.

I would like to look again in the event center, perhaps there's the reason for the error. Otherwise, after reinstalling the hard drive for a bug, reinstalling is certainly the solution to the problem.
