My pc keeps crashing in fortnite. When i start a lap it always happens. With my components i achieve an average of 200 fps. Everything works except for fortnite.
Here you can see that the GPU is at 1900 MHz although it only manages 1700 MHz. I have not set anything in the bios except for the RAM at 3000 MHz. The cpu also overclocks itself to 4100 GHz.
have these components:
amd ryzen 5 3600
gtx 1650 great
3200mhz 16 cl aegis (ram)
cooling is okay
I had this case last week because I had to reinstall windows afterwards. This has been back since this morning
You shoot yourself Windows and try the same thing again?
Your CPU overclocks like you said. The pc gets too hot and it switches itself off automatically.
But that can't be. I don't go out completely but am directed back to the windows menu. So it's a crash from the game
Sorry read wrong. Maybe you can find something in the task manager. Or take a look at the settings in the epic store
Maybe the RAM is unstable. Try setting the clock back to 2666 or so (that's actually always safe)
But why should it have to do with ram? I only lost fps as a result.
You say it crashes?
Why did you only lose FPS when you say it crashes?
If the ram is unstable, programs crash or behave strangely.
No, I mean it is a disadvantage if I downclock the ram to 2666. I have now set the RAM from 3100mhz to 29.mhz and the cpu to exact 3.6Ghz
Better to have a few less FPS than just play in the lobby.
Yes, nice, but what do you get with the fps if the game crashes? Just try it…
I can't help you with Fortnite because I don't play it, but maybe a GPU & CPU stress test could show you whether your system remains stable under load.
"Hardware Monitor" (freeware) to monitor the temperatures
GPU stress test such as "FurMark" (x64) (Freeware) to test / load the GPU
additionally:
"Prime95" (x64) (Freeware) with the standard (blend) test, which tests / loads the CPU & RAM.
