What kind of overload problems does my PC have?

I have the following problem, I recently connected a 2K monitor (60 Hz) to my PC at (i5 6400, 16gb ram ballistix, gtx 1060 Oc from Gigabyt 6 gb, 500gb ssd, 2 tb hdd, board: MSi hm110 gaming) a buddy and came across the following.

At 1080p it runs pretty bad in games, i.e. CPU completely overloaded (over 100%) and gpu too, ram almost no load at all (5-15%). Already at start at 1080p 90% load cpu.

1440p runs without problems e.g. Fortnite on epic setting 150 fps.

Cpu and Gpu only at 40-60% load, but more ram is used (between 40-60%).

I find that strange.

Should I prefer to buy a new CPU (i.e. An i7 6700k for my board) or a 2K monitor with 144hz. The 1060 has 144hz at all.

I'm not the specialist, so I help with the following: I run the system cleanup and then the defragmentation, then it works again.

So in my opinion the processor doesn't fit the rest. The graphics card is quite good, a lot of RAM but an 80 euro CPU, it just doesn't fit in there. Is only my opinion but I would actually install another CPU first.

I would always advise you against gaming at intel because I have had better experiences with amd

Would everything run normally with the i7 6700k? I've had the pc since all components appeared. Was assembled by myself.

Is not a guarantee. Of course, it has more power but is also only a 4-core. Just have no idea what fits on your board on cores.

This is the board. https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/H110M-GAMING.html

which 2k monitor 144hz would you recommend to me. Should be curved and 27 inches.

I have a 27er 4K monitor from Samsung, with a 2K I can't help you much, because I have too little experience with it.
