So I'm asking here for a friend with whom I built a PC. We installed the Ryzen 5 5600x, due to the current hardware situation, by the way, it still kept its old rx 590 and is waiting for an rtx 3070. So now we have started fortnite and the CPU is running at 20% and is at 90C, however, says Dragoncenter that the CPU fan is running at 100%, but only at 1900rpm. In the BIOS we have set that the CPU fan should go to maximum performance at 80C. I now find that 90C is a bit too hot and only at 20% load. Also the boxed cooler not only has 1900rpm, but somehow 2700rpm or something. The CPU tackles at 4.65 GHz (i.e. Turbo clock). Can you help me that the fan gets more rpm and that the CPU is not at 90C at just 20% load?
That sounds a bit too much for the cooler. Is the cooler really firmly mounted and have you also removed the protective film? That would be such a classic mistake.
There was no foil on it, just this plastic thing. But that is firm.
You're right, there's already thermal paste on the cooler. The standard cooler is generally not that good, I think a larger cooler would generally make more sense. The https://www.amazon.de/...083V3L12Y/ is recommended.
