Is the Fortnite Switch limited worldwide?

On October 30th, 2020 a Nintendo Switch Fortnite Special Edition was released. It was said that this is only available in Japan, Europe and Australia. In addition, the switch should also be limited. But the Animal Crossing Switch was first sold as a limited edition, until it was later no longer limited in Japan and has been sold there ever since. Will this also be the case with the Fortnite Switch? And is this really limited worldwide, including in Japan?
