So there are games that are generally hated by the gaming community: Fortnite, Roblox or Brawl Stars, for example, are among them. It's funny too, but why exactly isn't Roblox liked?
Simply on principle?
I honestly find Roblox not that bad because every video game is almost in Roblox version.
Some games are really fun, but are they hated because only children actually play them? It would be the same with fortnite, brawl stars etc.
Because it is a mine raft with a 7 year old community
It's just child's play if you can put it that way. I mean 98% of the community is 6-11 year old Toxic Children. In addition, the game has no real sense than "imitating" any other game.
Community is full of children and also complete garbage in terms of quality
Where does that have something to do with minecraft? Except for the skins, nothing is really the same or similar
In my opinion, a derogatory attitude towards Roblox and similar games is a typical generational conflict:
People who did not grow up with Roblox and have no idea about it do not understand the fascination of adolescents / children for this phenomenon.
This lack of understanding results in incorrect assessments of the game and unnecessary insults that have little to do with the actual fun of the game. Sometimes there's also a backward-looking "Everything was better in the past".
Most of all, it is immature to blame a child for liking children's activities.
In the area of gaming, on the other hand, there has been a tiresome and nonsensical debate for years as to whether a distinction should be made between hardcore gamers and casual gamers instead of granting both their own division and perceiving smooth transitions.
Roblox is often denigrated by people who want to affirm their identity as "tough" gamers in a negative way. They don't want their hobby, which has been a niche for a long time, suddenly made accessible to the general public and thus allegedly softened and belittled.
It just looks cheap. Sure that many make fun of it:-).
