So I noticed something. All children aged 10-13 are already watching films from 18 where heads fly off and bodies burst open (for example Deadpool or anime like Helsing). I mean everyone can do as he wants, but some children at the age of 10 already watched films that I didn't even dare to watch. And no, I'm not a coward when it comes to films or series. After that they all act so strongly, but get a lot of panic about the films. Just like Fortnite. There are 5 year old kids playing Fortnite and even having merch. This is a shooting game! I mean why are some parents so irresponsible? I do not get it.
I think that most parents may feel overwhelmed with all the media the children are exposed to because children felt that they had access to them everywhere.
In addition, the children often become outsiders if they do not already have a smartphone and a PlayStation in first class!
Some parents want to give the kids something as soon as possible to teach them this technique for the future, since it is an important part of it but it does not include Fortnite or the new horror film and you shouldn't start it too early first class with the smartphone still difficult.
However, some parents only use this to keep the children calm, as a television or tablet works like hypnosis for some!
To conclude, one reason for the early consumption of such media is simply the harmlessness. Some parents think the children are already old enough to differentiate the virtual world in film or games from the real one, which is usually not true.
Should the parents stop, as long as the children do not overreact and make them aggressive people, that is ok i.e. If the children can cope with it if the parents say that it is now time to stop playing
The films only apply to people, especially children, who have no problem processing what they see. In games, however, you act yourself and of course more freely, which can promote the negative qualities enormously. It makes a big difference whether you're watching a movie or acting in a game.
So, here are two aspects that should be considered separately: the perspective / motivation of the child and that of the parents.
On the side of the child: I was actually like that (I was not that young, I think it started when I was 13) and also had a lot of children in the area who also found it exciting. In my case it was a mixture of fascination and "want to show strength" and that seems to me to be relatively representative. The fascination for death and crime always seems to play a role in the development at any time, only the form changes. In the same way, this measure of strength is quite typical, but it expresses itself differently depending on age and environment. For some children, the aspect of rebellion that they are doing something that is actually forbidden also seems to be added.
On the side of the parents: It seems to me to be much more complicated to fathom this, because in my eyes there can be very different reasons. My own parents were a little more casual in many aspects of their upbringing and gave me a lot of freedom. They knew that I watched and played such things, but because they also saw that it didn't hurt me actively (I wasn't a nightmare candidate), they didn't do anything about it. In the same way, the reasons can be in the absence and ignorance. If the parents are simply not so present in the life of their children, it quickly goes past what their children are doing the long day. Ignorance is also a factor - many parents are not even aware of the potential harm that this can cause, either because they have not had a bad experience with it themselves or because they can't see the consequences.
