Fortnite new zone?

Hi, every time I'm in the new zone in Fortnite, i.e. The waves, I'm automatically pulled up and die from falling damage when I come out of the zone. Knows how to prevent this because I'm already guiding my character down.

This is the case with the new zone. Is that only when you're standing on the spot or when you're swimming forward?

That is only when I swim forward under the bottom
