Well, there are very different varieties.
At Pubg, it's hiding… And keep hiding.
But at Fortnite, you can't do that because you're always in an open space.
But still, I think Pubg is much nicer, but not if it's addicting to you.
There are simply two different studios behind it that have recognized the potential of the Battle Royal mode and want to make money with it.

I wouldn't call any of the games bad because both games have their advantages and disadvantages. They are basically two different games. I'm more of a PUBG player myself. Didn't like Fortnite that much and found the hype very unnecessary. Even the YouTubers who only saw profit from it got on my nerves! But the game or the developers can't do that for either. That was an advantage for the developers!
