I think it's good, but why?

br

Because they don't obey the rules.

Sl

Because Fortnite violates the store guidelines of Apple and Google, as they bypass the 30% tax on in-app purchases.

Si

With an update, EPIC has smuggled in (?) The option of being able to offer in-game microtransactions without 30% of this turnover going to Apple / Google

So

I think it's good

Did that have to be now?

The reason for this is that Epic Games found a way to sell V-Bucks cheaper in Fortnite. This is because they no longer pay 30% of all purchases to Apple or Google. Of course, they don't like it and in response they have knocked Fortnite out of their stores.

Ok, before I read stupid answers that Epicgames deservedly been kicked out, here's the explanation: Epic Games has been in the Playstore for 4 months and in the AppStore for 2 years. The problem is the in-game purchases. V-Bucks in the mobile version cost 30% more than in the PC / console version. This is normal because the AppStore and the PlayStore want to earn money themselves and take 30% of the money they paid. But that just doesn't fit many game developers, and it doesn't fit Epicgames either. They have now deliberately not obeyed the rules to get kicked out so that they can sue Google and Apple. They have added a second payment method with which Apple and Google earn nothing. The indictment now states that Google and in particular Apple or the AppStore represent a monopoly, since Apple users have no way of getting apps if not from the AppStore. Epicgames is now taking action against this, and at their own expense. Epicgames even makes a loss through this whole action, but they are doing the right thing. And everyone should support that, because it will also make prices in mobile games cheaper if Epicgames wins the lawsuit. Every game developer stands behind Epicgames, and that's why Fortnite is no longer in the app and play store so that Epic could even make this accusation.
