Don't save. RL also play a lot of kiddies, but I think since you have to spend a lot of time for this game to be good, most of them don't feel like it.

How is this suppossed to work? Battle Royale in Rocket League would be weird / unnecessary.

Bought it over a year ago. So far I don't see any difference. If you play casual with random matchmaking you will of course get more crash test dummies. But skill prevails. Play this intermittently since 2016. You can tell who started it a few days ago.
