2 days ago I changed my "display name" in the Epic Games Launcher, but somehow my old name is still there. My friend said something about changing my Xbox name, but it can't really be. Could anyone help me?

If you play on the PC your new Epic name will also be displayed.

And your buddy is absolutely right, when you play on the Xbox it says your Xbox display name. Therefore you have to change this if you want to see a new name.
