If I were you, I wouldn't buy either of these two keyboards. Both are from well-known manufacturers and also qualitative products, but I have a better recommendation for you!

In my opinion, the best keyboard manufacturer is Glorious PC Gaming Race. Unfortunately, this company is rather unknown in Germany. This is a shame, because Glorious is one of the best, if not the best, manufacturers of gaming peripherals.

Glorious has only released two keyboards, the GMMK and the new GMMK Pro, which will only storm the German market in Q2 2021. Both keyboards are so incredibly high quality and versatile that Glorious only offers these two for good reason.

In order to answer your question as precisely as possible, I will explain the most important criteria when buying a keyboard below and also show how the GMMK fares. Since I own this keyboard myself and have dealt with it extensively before and after buying it, or am still doing it, my specialist knowledge is correspondingly precise.

Processing:

The GMMK is of very high quality. The housing is made of black plastic and has two fold-out feet. Replacement rubber linings are also included in the scope of delivery in case the pre-installed rubber feet should wear out. The longevity of this keyboard is correspondingly high.

The only disadvantage of the GMMK are the stabilizers, which "only" belong to the upper middle class. Nevertheless, these are still far superior to those of other manufacturers, also because they are praised. Since these stabilizers are only attached to the surface of the keyboard, they can be exchanged very easily. If you don't want to go to this trouble, you can use the GMMK Pro, which offers improved stabilizers.

Features:

The GMMK, which is available in compact, TKL and full-size designs, and the GMMK Pro, which was only released in SF design, almost all offer an acceptable USB C cable, so you can also use your own cable.

In addition, you can purchase a wrist rest at Glorious at a reasonable price, which offers either a smooth fabric surface with a foam core interior or an amazingly ergonomic wooden surface.

The most important feature of the GMMK is its modular design. This means that it is possible to loosen the switches without the use of a soldering iron. This makes it possible to remove the switches simply by using a switch puller. This has the advantage that you can switch to other switches without having to buy a completely new keyboard. Even if you decide to lob your switches to improve their click feel and noise, you can easily remove them without having to use the soldering iron. The modular design leaves all options open for the future.

Attention: only switches with three pins are suitable for the GMMK, with the GMMK Pro you can also use switches with five pins. While you can quickly convert one with five into one with three by cutting off the superfluous pins, the reverse is not possible.

Software:

The GMMK offers software in which you can adjust the (positively bright) RGB lighting and create macros. Unfortunately, this software lags behind those of other manufacturers in terms of design and functionality, but is completely sufficient in terms of options.

Since, according to Glorious, all products are soon to be combined in their new "Glorious Core" app, it is only a matter of time before this company also plays a role in the software sector.

Conclusion:

The GMMK is, at least in Germany, THE best keyboard on the market. The GMMK Pro has given it a refreshing, albeit expensive, upgrade.
