Is there someone who knows about PC CPU problems?

I'm looking for someone who is familiar with PC issues, somehow someone who maybe does it professionally or something, because my problem has not been fixed by anyone so far, it's about my CPU usage that I have in blackout, publ, fortnite (70-100 % Utilization) in apex legends eg only around 40-60%.

The problem started with me even 3 days ago, because I changed my graphics card 3 days ago (from a GTX 950 to a GTX 1050 ti mini) since then it started with the fps drops, but with the GTX 950 I had Although also a high CPU utilization or Exactly the same utilization as now with the GTX 1050 mini ti, but I had no fps drops as correctly as with the GTX 1050 mini mini.

And no to my hardware can't lie, because there are ytber, which have exactly the same CPU and the same graphics card, and in which the problem is not.

I already have the latest drivers.

CPU: I5 7400 3.0GHz

GPU: GTX 1050 mini

RAM: 8GB

A few things:

The CPU usage, as you describe it, says nothing at all. Your CPU can handle 4 threads, if it is only one full load the other processes have to wait, because a program always runs in a linear way, i. You can theoretically run with 25% CPU utilization in a bottleneck.
What exactly is your problem? You mention in passing that you have fps drops. How do your average fps behave, did you already have drops before that? How high were your low fps before and now? Can it be e.g. Being that the drops only make more noticeable since you now have higher fps tips?
Have you ever watched your memory usage while playing?
Do you play in the same settings or did you change something? The 1050ti is hardly stronger than a 950 …
Did you cleanly uninstall your drivers before the change (perhaps with DDU)?
The same CPU and GPU may be more common, i. But not that people have the same memory, the same cooling, the same power supply, the same resolution, the same settings and play on the same server.

1. I have seen on YT people who have exactly the same CPU and the same graphics card, but have no fps drops

2. With the GTX 950 I had almost no drops, so rarely, they were not as heavy as the drops. Fps limit in fortnite on 120. (Most played game)

3. No I do not have.

4. I spoke exactly with the same settings

5. I uninstalled the drivers after the change, since I had forgotten that.

To (1), see my last point.

To (2), see my answer, how high were your low fps on the 950 vs 1050ti, you may have had fewer drops because you had less fps on average / basically less fps in demanding scenes.

To (3), you should do that.

1. Can memory synonymous really have something to do with it?

2. I said that I had my fps limit of 120, so I always had 120fps, at the 950 and 1050 ti, only now as I said with drops when I was building build actions in fortnite.

3. How can you even look it up? ^^

Bo

Yes, as soon as memory runs out of memory, elements in the paging file need to be stored, even fast SSDs are slower by several powers of 10 than DDR memory, which leads to classic Drops.

You always had 120 fps with a 950? And you got yourself a new card, even though you had a continuous 120 fps and did not even screw up the settings?

Do not get me wrong but I doubt that, why did you get a new card at all?

You can display everything you need about an OSD, e.g. With Afterburner or similar

What you describe, lower frames at the same settings / resolutions, is quite possible, if the consumption and thus the heat in the case increases, then the SpaWas and / or CPU could slow down.

The problem in your particular case is that a 1050ti draws just 75W and thus does not develop much heat, moreover, if you use a frame limiter that prevents you from running into the GPU limit the 1050ti consumes less than a 950.

Otherwise it could only be that you have unscrewed settings (eg visibility, higher visibility, more objects, higher memory load, memory is running full, must be swapped out → frame drop).

Incidentally, the drops you describe (fight, build, action…) are quite classic markers for a CPU bottleneck.

A graphics card does not care if it needs to render a tree or an opponent (in practice, the opponent's polygon model is more complex but roughly fits it anyway).

That's why I can't believe you did not have these drops before, I doubt they have anything to do with the GPU at all.

I've also gotten a new video card so I can play other games fluently, eg Apex Legends, bo4 etc, I'm not just playing fortnite, so what can I do now to get less CPU utilization is now included still possible for me?

in Apex Legends I have a maximum CPU usage of 60-70%

Bo

CPU usage should not be a bottleneck in games.

As I said, you have to stop talking in absolute terms, only the individual thread utilization is meaningful. You can't stop occasional or single games from being stuck in CPU limit, but that should not be standard, otherwise you should look to upgrade.

Incidentally, the CPU limit for each game is very easy to determine, it is the maximum fps at the lowest resolution with the lowest settings && without AA (assuming of course you have a reasonably potent graphics card, that's the case with you).
