Will Xbox no longer give live gold for free to play games?

I just saw on the internet that Microsoft has multiplayer for free games like fortnite or other free games

without unlocking gold that's true

Up until now you had to have an active Xbox Gold membership for games like Fortnite while you didn't need it on PS4 and Switch.

Now you can play these games without Xbox Gold.

But why isn't it with me? I still need gold, I have to update something

1. You can then play any Free to Play game for free and 2. You can only do that in a few months

It still takes until Microsoft unlocks it to let players play free to play games without xbox live gold for free. Wait until there's news about it or the "Xbox Live" message on your console tells you about it yourself.
