Internet problems, since then television via WLAN 1&1?

My parents have been watching television on 1&1 for a few weeks now. I'm a passionate gambler of games like Fortnite and Fifa. Via WLAN - since LAN is not possible. Everything works so far, but as soon as my parents switch on the receiver I have ping fluctuations of 50-150 and it becomes unplayable. Now I've tried D-Lan. Well the same thing in green… I'm not bad at Fortnite and there will soon be tournaments with a lot of prize money… Is it really hopeless right now? Does anyone have a tip or other method?
