So. At the beginning of the week I ordered a new LAN cable from Amazon.
Router, the Speed Port Pro is connected via mesh Wi-Fi and pc via lan to a mesh repeater in my room. But my ping is sometimes worse than via WLAN and I can't explain why I tested it with the old LAN cable and it worked exactly as before. With the new one I got out of the nothing high ping and packet loss I tested it in Fortnite and Apex Legends I also pinged google and my router ip via cmd and always received different mostly good pings this morning around 30ms to Google.de and 8ms too my router.
now i wonder what can i do? Is it the cable or the pc? Is it because of my internet?
Cable is extremely unlikely. But if you have differences in trading back and forth, it probably will be.
I don't have a good ping with the old cable either, but it is at least a little more stable, so I ask myself whether I get packet loss through the cable and a worse ping or whether it's something else
Ping the router.
I got pretty bad 8-10ms
So it's not the cable. Try another port. Whereby the values are not so bad that there should be disruptions.
