I have problems with my ping and need urgent help.

So it's about my ping, he is in my opinion too high and I would like to know how I could make it lower. (The problem is with the game Fortnite on the Ps4 pro). My ping is usually 40-60ms and sometimes even 70 or even 80, that's a lot considering that I have a 30-40k line. My friend, for example, has only a 20k line but a significantly better ping. My router is in my room and even connected to my Ps4 with LAN cable, so I'm confused why it could be. Mostly nobody uses the router except me.
Some will now think that a 40-60er ping is not so bad and that is also halfway, for people who do not care and do not realize it is true, but I, for example, put a lot of emphasis on it and realize it very well that my ping is high, especially because I also want to get into the "competitive" area and something like that is very important, eg for tournaments etc.
I've searched a lot on the internet before I decided to look for help, but unfortunately I could not find anything helpful on YouTube or Google. (Mostly just pointed out to use a LAN cable). So now I need your knowledge, how can I lower my ping? Do I have to adjust something on the computer or router? Or turn on any ports? Or something else? What can I do against it?
Hmm, last but not least you could try to enter the supposedly fastest DNS server in the world (Cloudflare) into your router or into your PS4. It could improve the ping already a little, but if that is also the case with games, I do not know, because I do not know if online games work with domain names or with the real IPs.
