Paypal wants you to connect a credit card to the account. That's there. And you understood that perfectly well. And yes, that also corresponds to the terms of use of Paypal, which you have indeed recognized when registering. According to points 3.6 and especially 3.8, Paypal may limit the selection of payment sources available for the execution of a transaction and exclude certain payment sources for this transaction in order to minimize risk. And Paypal excludes both your balance as well as the connected current account as payment source with this transaction.
Simply connect your credit card and current account with the Paypal account and you're done.
