icg have a 2070 & a 2700x.
The game still hangs.
Though I play low on everything except the viewing distance.
For example, your RAM may be full.
No is never over 8 GB
I think it's unlikely that it is due to the components you mentioned.

Is that only in Fortnite? Try other games that are also based on the Unreal Engine, if you have any. Free ones are e.g. Realm Royale and Paladins (even if they aren't that good, lol).
Otherwise every game will work out great.
