Is my PC just too bad for Fortnite?

I'm starting to despair. Is my PC really so bad that it doesn't even pack 50 FPS with low settings? Is it really so old and bad that I can't even gamble at 60 FPS? Everything is low and nothing works, everything is etc.

My PC:

Processor: AMD A12-9800E RADEON R7, 12 Compute Cores 4C + 8G 3.10GHz

RAM: 8GB

Graphics card: GeForce GTX 1050

Can someone help me please?

Bl

Yes, this PC is really bad, especially the processor should be the problem. This is still based on the bulldozer architecture, which was so slow that four AMD cores were just as fast as two from Intel. And your CPU even has a low clock speed.

You should either upgrade to an AMD FX 8350 if it fits in your board (very cheap on eBay!) Or completely replace the board + CPU.

Mustn't buy me anything for my PC

Ni

The bad news is, yes your CPU is rather modest.

The good news is that a remedy can be found for really little money. A Ryzen 1400 should be enough as an upgrade. And used they cost almost nothing.

Ni

That should be 7th generation or not? And that would be AM4.

Bl

My pity for you that you have to endure such parents.

The 1050 per se would do well over 100FPS with reduced details:

the processor is very weak, but the AM4 platform is still up to date. Which mainboard do you have? It is quite possible that you can upgrade an R3 3300x or R5 1600 AF.

So I have: IntelCorei7 8th Gen - 16GB RAM - GTX 1060 - Windows 10

And it only works really well on low settings.

Although you don't mean it, Fortnite is full of excitement!

This is not necessary as it is the Am4 platform:

yo

Fortnite is not demanding.

Ul

Yes, otherwise it would hardly take so much power.

Yes, RDR2 is also demanding.

Bl

Just see that an AMD Ryzen may even fit on the board. That would of course be much better than an FX 8350. Well, of course only in case you are allowed to buy something later.

yo

Where should Fornite perform?

rh

But not worth the effort. After his bios update, he can at least retrofit a 6 cores with 12 threads, otherwise he will have the next game next week that doesn't work!

rh

He has an am4 mainboard! If so, he could upgrade ryzen.

Ni

Elsewhere in the thread, you will find out that he has practically no budget or lacks parental permission. I think for a 3900x he will therefore not be heard by his parents.

rh

You can try overclocking your ram.

Ni

How does it work? And does that bring much?

Ul

I don't know that myself, I didn't want it to be true either, but it is so.

yo

Is not it.

If you play with an integrated graphics unit, you shouldn't expect much.
