I'm currently downloading CoD from the Battle.net Launcher and Fortnite from the Epic Games Launcher. I noticed that the Battle.net Launcher downloaded 2 MB / s and the Epic Games Launcher only downloaded 500 KB / s.
Why is that? Is it just that the connection to the servers is so different?

Yes, then it is clear, because 10-15 Mbits are 1.25 - 1.875 MB / s and your computer does not divide them up very sensibly in this case. But that is the maximum what your line can do.
I don't mean that I download it at the same time, but when I download something in the Battle.net Launcher it gets 2 MB / s and when I download something at another time in the Epic Games Launcher it only comes in 500 KB / s.

Yes, that's because of the servers. Be glad that you don't have to download something several times a month, but the download speeds e.g. Many printers / multifunctional drivers on the HP servers are so bad that you explode from all that unnecessary waiting. It took me an hour to download a 100 MB driver package, so I was able to count the kilobytes, there were a lot. Sometimes it is very fast, between 1.1 and 2.7 megabytes per second.
