Fortnite can't leave the round?

Hey and if I play duos or teams and then die before my teammate dies then I can't leave the round. Normally the bottom (circle on the ps4) is always shown to leave but nothing is shown to me. I can only leave when the entire team is dead.

But if I play random games and my teammate doesn't even try to save me and / or get my card in any way, then that's a good reason to leave. Unfortunately that doesn't work and I have to watch my teammate until he dies.
